Opinions
[edit]I believe the recent addition of the following paragraph
- Canada had won the previous two World Championships. The outcome of the gold medal game pleased many Europeans who were upset that the Canadians had done so well with only 9 players who had played during the lockout and were still in game shape. Also, the recent dominance of Canada, not only at this event, but at the 2004 World Cup of Hockey, and 2002 Olympics by Wayne Gretzky's hand-picked teams concerned other nations that Canada had returned to being hockey's international powerhouse.
has not been a good idea. It does not offer any context, seems POV (and unencyclopedic) to me, and even strange/wrong -- "concerned other nations that Canada had returned to being hockey's international powerhouse" -- what does that mean? Of course Canada is a hockey's international powerhouse, the defeat does not make them hockey amateurs any more than recent wins has made them hockey pros. There are no other commentaries and opinions in the article and I don't think this should be an exception. --Mormegil 09:29, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)
