Article trimming
[edit]I think this article should be trimmed down to address specifically "Islam in Egypt" and remove all reference to other subjects, or details that do not belong here. If one needs to know about a specific aspect of Islam, one should refer to the articles on Islam and the details of its laws and practices. A.Khalil 19:48, Jan 29, 2005 (UTC)
Status of Religious Freedom
[edit]I think this portion of the article is to be moved to a more general topic that discusses religion as a whole in Egypt such as Religion in Egypt. Adding it there would be more in line with the content since it discusses Egyptian christians and other non-muslims. Ahmed Mohamed , Mar 2, 2006
"clarification needed"
[edit]In answer to this edits ".[clarification needed]"".{{clarify|reason=How does this article reconcile Sufism, the most moderate form of Islam, with Egyptians voting en masse for the Muslim Brotherhood, a radical organization?}}"
According to this source "many Sufis voted Brotherhood at the recent elections." Whether they change their minds in coming years and vote for another party, who knows. --BoogaLouie (talk) 19:56, 26 April 2013 (UTC)
