Adding tech support website

Hello, I would like to add a tech support website that has a section about Onkyo called FixYa.com. Let me know if you have any comments.

Chinese rendering

Hello there, just a quick question - why does the entry contain info on the Chinese rendering of Onkyo in the header ("traditional Chinese: 安橋; pinyin: ān qiáo; Jyutping: on1 kiu4") - I had a quick skim over the Japanese article and while there is a reference to "上海安橋電気有限公司", this is a subsidiary and maybe should be declared as such in the body of the article. If we started adding foreign renderings for names into all English language articles we'd be here until the cows come home... Now maybe you might say "but this is what their products are marketed under in China", but then, surely this information is only relevant to the Chinese article on Onkyo. After all, I reckon there are probably Arabic or Sanskrit renderings for the company's name, but I don't see those in the article... --84.163.204.7 (talk) 18:20, 25 October 2008 (UTC)

Incorrect spelling?

The article lists the Japanese name of the corporation as オンキヨー, is there anything that confirms this spelling? The name is (presumably) based on the word 音響, which would be written in katakana as オンキョー　(note the small ヨ).

Pronunciation?

In the Hepburn romanization system, it would normally be spelled Onkyō and pronounced with a long final "o", like "on-kyoh". As the user above noted, it's originally from the word 音響, which is pronounced like that. But according to the company's website the Japanese spelling is オンキヨー, and the romanized spelling is Onkyo, so these are a bit irregular but correct. – Margin1522 (talk) 13:14, 2 November 2014 (UTC)

Unavailable paragraph

A recent edit claims that Onkyo products are not for sale at major retailers last year. In 2021 I see several receivers for sale at Best Buy, contradicting the unsourced edit. I believe this allegation lacks credibility as a major manufacturer would be unlikely to abandon the US and disconnect their phone support. I am an American owner of one of their products, so to avoid an appearance of a conflict I will leave it to another editor to challenge and remove the offending section.
