renaming VfD items
[edit]Here you changed the text of a VfD item, why? The end result was that you removed the existing discussion from the VfD page. Now I need to do through the VfD change log and check your other edits.
I'm not trying to be harsh, but with this and the other comments on this talk page, you should seriously consider spending more time making contributions to the encyclopedia and less time trying to get things deleted from it. Look at this and see how many are VfD related and how few are article-space related. --Ben Brockert 01:22, May 21, 2004 (UTC)
- If I deleted any text, it was unintentional. And, I believe that I have contributed a great deal to the encyclopedia. I currently have three articles that I've either contributed to or created from scratch listed as features. I've made countless edits to other pages as well, all in the interest of improving this thing. It's fun to hang around the VfD page because the idea of heading off garbage before it sneaks in here is appealing. I've headed off vandalism, nonsense and vanity. I've also made other positive contributions, as I've already stated. If I've made a mistake, then please accept my apology.
- In fact, I'll tell you what...do me a favor and blank my personal pages, OK? I don't mean to sound childish, but I believe that I can find other things to do with my downtime than contribute to a project in which I'm not wanted.
- Signing off, I remain, - Lucky 6.9 01:38, 21 May 2004 (UTC)
- I'm not going to touch your personal pages. I just got done going through the VfD history and putting back the chunks of text you removed through incautious actions, about a dozen in all. Look at the difference between my first timestamp on this page and the one following this comment, and tell me it was time well spent.
- If you decide to leave because I chided you for deleting items from administrative proceedings, I'm certianly not going to be the one feeling childish. --Ben Brockert 02:54, May 21, 2004 (UTC)
Eventual eulogy:
- Lucky 6.9 - After being asked to consider spending more time in article space (last 30 days of edits: 257:405::mainspace:non-mainspace); "I don't mean to sound childish, but I believe that I can find other things to do with my downtime than contribute to a project in which I'm not wanted."
Zoolander: Oh. I thought you were going to tell me what a bad eugoogolizer I am.
Matilda: A what?
Zoolander: A eugoogolizer—one who speaks at funerals—or did you think I'd be too stupid to know what a eugoogoly is?
