I wonder what we should say about growth. The last edit (anonymous) has scaled down my "grown greatly" to "slow." I guess it depends on whether you are talking process or result. A slow process, over time, may produce a great result, which is what I think we have here. Perhaps many towns have grown faster, but compared to what it was when I was a boy (yes, quite a few years ago!), the place has unquestionably grown greatly. RivGuySC 05:12, 30 May 2005 (UTC)
I wasn't sure if anybody calls it the "Queen City" anymore, but I was able to google up the Queen City Paintball Club, so I guess so. (Anybody remember the Queen City Infirmary?) So I'll put it in the nickname spot. RivGuySC (talk) 06:09, 25 December 2007 (UTC)

General Shoe/Genesco reference
[edit]General Shoe Co./Genesco was definitely not founded in Tullahoma. Wemyss and the elder Jarman formed it in Nashville in 1924, as Wikipedia's Genesco page states. My grandfather went to work at General Shoe's Fifth & Main factory in East Nashville in 1928 (per personnel records I have) and met my future grandmother on the factory floor; married in 1932. He ran factories in Gallatin and Lewisburg before and during WWII, and I'm sure there was manufacturing in Tullahoma--but it was not the founding location.
I know Wikipedia has exacting standards for sourcing, and I'm not immediately sure how I can prove a negative in this instance, but I just mention so you will know. Tom Wood (talk) 01:59, 16 October 2022 (UTC)
