Apparently, the move is being blocked because someone edited the redirect. DVI currently redirects to Digital Visual Interface, but it seems that the disambiguation page would go better there. “alerante” 19:52, 5 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- Opppose. The redirect presently at DVI is easily editable. If you really think it would be better going to DVI (disambiguation), feel free to edit the redirect. , but looking at the article pages that currently link to DVI, exclusing the TLAs from AAA to DZZ page, I have to say that six of them are for Digital Visual Interface and only two are for any other meaning. So it seems that the current redirect is the correct one; primary topic disambiguation is already available through that article. --Tony Sidaway|Talk 17:03, 6 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- Oppose The video interface is what comes to mind, and it will only be more so as the technology becomes more popular. TeX typesetting is a technical sub-specialty, and much more obscure, but it's easy to find through the disambiguation mechanism already present. —Michael Z. 2005-02-9 17:25 Z
Move against consensus above
[edit]I am in favour of the primary meaning being Digital Visual Interface, and have promoted to the top. I would be in favour of moving this back, and having a redirect as primary. As there's debate above (in agreement) and history, I want to gain consensus first... Widefox; talk 12:27, 26 September 2012 (UTC)
- No opposition, so just like VGA, making this the primary meaning Widefox; talk 14:12, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
Disaster Victim Identification
[edit]DVI is also Disaster Victim Identification - we need a page on that ... http://www.interpol.int/INTERPOL-expertise/Forensics/DVI David Thrale (talk) 23:59, 14 February 2014 (UTC)
