The InService Numbers of Aircraft are merely estimated and doesn't give the whole picture, changes from time to time depending on aircraft reserves, attrition figures etc.
I believe citations are needed for the following statements.
The serial number printed on that AMRAAM turned out to be the one which was sold to Taiwan. The US-based Foreign Policy magazine, quoting unnamed US officials, reported in April 2019 that an audit didn't find any Pakistani F-16s missing.
