Silly. --fvw* 14:52, 2004 Dec 24 (UTC)
- Ok, it has grown pretty nicely beyond dictdef now. Well done everyone, and I guess there was something encyclopaedic to say about fruit salad after all (Keep). --fvw* 17:50, 2004 Dec 26 (UTC)
- I've replaced this with a stub. DJ Clayworth 14:54, 24 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Dictdef though. Do you think there's anything encyclopaedic to say about this? --fvw* 14:58, 2004 Dec 24 (UTC)
- Give it a while and see if anyone can turn it into an article - there may be possibilities. violet/riga (t) 15:34, 24 Dec 2004 (UTC)

- Ohh, that's a keeper. Content could be expanded, perhaps to include different types of fruit salads. There's egg roll if you want to look at another specific food article. hfool 17:20, 24 Dec 2004 (UTC)

- Keep. A bit silly, but maybe someone could make a decent article out of it. Shimeru 18:41, Dec 24, 2004 (UTC)

- Keep, this could grow into a helpful article. Wyss 00:34, 25 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Keep. My entire life, I have consumed a kind of fruit salad that consists solely of sickly-sweet peaches and pears, a few grapes, and a token cherry. (Any fellow Americans know what I'm talking about. It's that one they serve for dessert in school.) I was pleasantly surprised that Wikipedia opened my eyes to a multitude of other kinds of fruit salad, albeit through the external link. Although the recipes should go in a "WikiRecipe" project, could the list from the external site be safely imported into the article, perhaps with a list of the ingredients for each? — DV 05:16, 25 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Since my vote, I have updated the article with details about kinds of fruit salad, a mention of the most widely consumed packaged fruit salad in the United States, an external link to the History of Fruit Salad, and numerous links to related articles here on Wikipedia. — DV 08:03, 25 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Keep Encyclopedic enough. CJCurrie 05:18, 25 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Keep. I like fruit salads. Take a decision only if participation on this poll exceeds 2.1% of active wikipedia population . (Active population are legitimate users that have cast at least one vote in the last 43 days). Keep this Vfd poll active for 19 days then archive it. If the participation threshold is bypassed, take a decision only if the majority (50%+) of those who voted agree. If the poll decision is not a final delete decision, then whatever else the decision is it should be valid for 3 years then we should reconsider. Iasson 15:52, 25 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Keep, nothing silly about fruit salad. Rje 19:14, 25 Dec 2004 (UTC)

- Keep -- And who is this Iasson person and why is he/she trying to dictate what percentage of Wikipedians need to vote and how long the vote should continue?? And why is he/she coming up with different numbers for different articles up for a vote? Bizarre. DreamGuy 09:43, Dec 27, 2004 (UTC)
- Keep. BTW, I've warned lasson to stop his/her oddity. There is further discussion of what he/she thinks VfD should be on their talk page. -- user:zanimum
