Ibdb show
[edit]I think this template should be changed to refer to "show" id numbers instead of "production" id numbers. Shows often have articles dedicated to them, but individual productions don't. Example: there's an article for "Into The Woods", but "Into the Woods (2002 Revival)" doesn't get a separate article. The IBDB link should therefore point to the show, and not one specific production. Bgruber
- I agree that the show number would make more sense. I have created an Ibdb show template.--Larrybob 20:56, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
- Also while I was at it, there was already a venue template but it's wasn't part of the category.--Larrybob 21:14, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
- Indeed. See Talk:Guys_and_Dolls#IBDb_link_and_template, which I just posted. Thnidu (talk) 03:16, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
Proposal Description parameter like the IMDB templates or inject description "production"
[edit]I think this template needs a description parameter like the IMDB templates TITLE DESCRIPTION at IMDb For example The Crucible
OR
This TITLE template should inject the word "Production", and the SHOW template should inject something like "List of Broadway productions"
Because currently a single production (IBDB title template) and a list of productions (IBDB show template) display exactly the same.--Jeffkw (talk) 16:58, 3 January 2019 (UTC)
- I added a
|description=
parameter similar to {{IMDb title}} and others. See the template's documentation for examples. I also updated about 80 articles to use the new parameter. -- Zyxw (talk) 18:59, 8 May 2022 (UTC)
