The result of the debate was - keep, or maybe merge somewhere
I couldn't for the life of me figure out what this article is about... -- Ferkelparade π 15:29, 15 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- Keep. It's a Star Trek race. User's first contribution on Wiki. Don't bite the newcomers! Terrapin 15:39, 15 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- Delete. Not biting the newcomers doesn't mean we should accept junk articles, it just means we shouldn't have bad attitude while deleting them. --Improv 06:05, 16 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- If it is notable in the ST universe, then keep, but it needs some TLC. Darksun 15:42, 15 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- Merge and redirect: There was a List of minor races or something like that for "Star Trek." If no such thing exists, then delete this. Seriously: a break out for every single minor group in a fictional universe needs, at the very least, to be named appropriately (Lyran (Star Trek)). However, I'm against trying to recreate all the details of every fictional universe within Wikipedia. This isn't a question of academic elitism, either. For me, this is a matter of where the line is drawn. Lots and lots and lots and lots of books, comics, games, and shows do their best to set up vast realms -- it moves a lot of merchandise -- and once we say yes to one, we end up having to rationalize the most insignificant of the novel series vs. all. - Delete. Not from Star Trek "canon", just some ST-themed video games. Certainly not notable in the ST universe--www.startrek.com isn't aware of this race. Memory Alpha has one article that mentions this race, but no one has actually created an article for them. I guess a
merge/redir to Star Fleet Command would be the other option. Niteowlneils 18:40, 15 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- Having re-read the current contents, I don't think it's worth merging unless cleaned up in time. Niteowlneils 18:48, 15 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- Merge/redir somewhere. —siroχo 09:06, Oct 16, 2004 (UTC)
- Merge and redirect. Sorry, but creating articles for every minor piece of junk found in Star Trek/Star Wars/J.R.R. Tolkien is taking it too far. --Goblin 04:51, Oct 17, 2004 (UTC)
- Delete. Not only is the subject material extremely obscure, but the article looks like a poor translation of the Starfleet Command instruction manual from another language.--Lucky13pjn 02:26, Oct 18, 2004 (UTC)
- Keep and list on cleanup or merge and redirect. anthony (see warning) 16:52, 19 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- Merge with the video game, if someone thinks it's worth it, otherwise Delete. This is not ST "canon" by any stretch of the imagination. As an aside: the article mentions another species named the "Kzinti". I'm almost certain that this is the name of an alien race written about by Larry Niven somewhere...? func(talk) 04:02, 21 Oct 2004 (UTC)
