Objection to PROD
[edit]If someone wants to pursue deleting this, I've two reasons to want such a proposal to undergo discussion.
- Greater reason: There are eight interwikis for this, some of which appear to be much more substantial than the English article. This suggests there is more to this topic than has thus far been said in the English article; and that, in turn, seems to me to suggest enough doubt to justify not deleting without discussion.
- Lesser reason: Quite simply, I find this topic interesting. That's obviously not a reason not to delete, but frankly I do consider it a valid reason not to want it deleted without discussion.

Suggestions for improvement
[edit]I'm glad this article didn't get deleted. It had been on my to-do list of articles to work on, though not a high priority.
German Wikipedia has pretty decent and well-sourced article on the topic that could be used as basis for improving the English Wikipedia article. The French and Spanish Wikipedia articles aren't bad either, though they lack citations. If I do this myself, my approach would be to translate the French Wikipedia article, check it against the article on German Wikipedia, add sources, and then work from there.
Floréal Martorell also has an article on the history of Esperanto music, "Esperanto-muzik-kulturo. Ĉu mito aŭ realo?". I wish I could find better documentation on the early history of musical culture in the Esperanto community, but this should help some.
Most of the articles the Esperanto music article links to were speedily deleted on 3 Feb 2012 citing CSD A7 or A9 "no indication of importance", a few were deleted later. Most of these could be restored the same way, by working from better articles on other Wikipedias.
I guess I should get to translating. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Naŋar (talk • contribs) 22:06, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
