Perhaps there should be a mention of the fact that this tiny hamlet has no less than five places of worship, including a temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints... Also the Queen two should be mentioned, along with the rest of Holland America's business. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.25.100.46 (talk) 18:10, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

||Ice Dam?|| The Wikipedia page on Ice Dams shows Eagle in a flood of ice and water (2009?) This sounds like an important part of the town's recent history. Perhaps someone familiar with the event could include it in the page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by KBurchfiel (talkcontribs) 19:34, 25 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Merger proposal: Merge Eagle, Alaska, Eagle Historic District and Fort Egbert

[edit]
  • Partial support of merge: I'm definitely in favor of merging Eagle Historic District into Eagle, as they're the same place.

I'm not sure about merging Fort Egbert, as it's a separate entity. For instance, Fort Lowell and Tucson, Arizona are separate articles -- even though Ft. Lowell is now well within metro Tucson. Is there a general policy or custom for this situation? --Pete Tillman (talk) 19:56, 10 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I just removed these merge tags on the grounds that the merge proposer didn't initiate a discussion – then I noticed that somebody else did. I've returned the tag to Eagle Historic District, but it looks like there's a consensus against merging Fort Egbert (I'm also against it), so I won't add the merge tag back to that article. If that's alright with everyone. DoctorKubla (talk) 07:07, 15 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
