The following are examples of Substubs that were found to be (or would have been) eligible for deletion under this policy:
- Boulter: Note that the article is in the negative. Note also that it is on a last name. Since Wikipedia Is Not genealogy, filling this out with family lore is not appropriate. Since any famous persons with that last name would not be under "Boulter," that cannot be added. Since it is not a misspelling of a recognizable lemma, it cannot be added that way. - This example provides three facts about the subject: title, nature of work and one participant. If it had said "starred" instead of "acted" that would have been a fourth. While it is short and some may consider it to be a substub, it doesn't meet the general substub description of containing information that anyone would know: the association between actor and film is likely to be unknown by many people. Typical search engine queries consiste of two words, so even this short article may be sufficient to answer a question or attract someone who may wish to expand it.
