I feel this was incorrectly tagged as a speedy. Is this an ad? Is it notable enough for an article? No vote from me. Mgm|(talk) 20:25, Dec 4, 2004 (UTC)
Note: was tagged for speedy by an anon. Wolfman 21:32, 4 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Keep I created the article. This article is very early in the making but I will improve it. I certainly didn't post it to be an "advertisment" for the Odinic Rite but because they certainly should be recognised on this Wikipedia Encyclopedia for their achievements in the Asatru / Odinism community worldwide. It is undisputed that they are the longest running Odinist organisation in the world and have influenced the other two major groups - the Asatru Folk Assemnbly and the Asatru Alliance. They were even in the forefront and prevented a sacred heathen stone here in England from being destroyed by a telecommunicatrions pole. I ask you to reconsider this article and to keep it up. There will be NO requests to join this organisation but will be a recognition on this excellent encyclopedia. I am organising to get "real" historical information for this article so please bear with me so I can make it a "true" article. Many thanks, Fjorn.
- Keep. It is a reasonably well-known organisation and the article doesn't seem to make any untrue claims. Could do with a bit of clean-up though. Dbiv 21:09, 4 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Keep I see no cause to delete. Wolfman 21:28, 4 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Keep The Odinic Rite is a valid org with legal status in UK, Australia and various US states. I say give the submitter a chance to reword it but that the OR should definitely have a listing.

- Keep, I don't see what is wrong with the article.--Wiglaf 12:42, 5 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- keep (of course), verify and wikify. dab (T) 14:03, 5 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Keep This is what Wiki is for. Improve and wikify. Wyss 20:21, 5 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Keep Keep, but needs some expansion. The OR is a legitimate religious organisation and is worth an entry Pinlighter 16:10, 6 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Many thanks to you all for this, it is looking like a great vote. Believe me, the article is now better than when it first appeared, of which I appreciate the help that was given. In relation to now still expanding it, well, I am pulling some real statistical data to make this a real educational document - hopefully to contribute to the standard of Wikipedia. Many thanks, Fjorn.
- Keep, notable enough for an article. GRider\talk 17:54, 6 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Keep ¨- I've heard about them before outside Wikipedia so they are at least notable. // Liftarn 07:54, 7 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Keep, It does need work, but the organisation is large enough to warrant an entry in the Wikipedia. "'Keep'" -Loki's Advocate.
- I have moved the entry above to where it is as it was posted at the top of the screen to keep the same convention. Hope this was ok, Fjorn.
- Merge and Redirect. A real organization that should be mentioned in the Wikipedia. However, it currently largely duplicates information in the Asatru/Ordinism article, which already mentions it. --BM 19:48, 11 Dec 2004 (UTC)
