Wikified
[edit]I have wikified this article, and done quite a bit of tidying up, but a bit more is needed. There are several sentences that could do with rewording, but I'm not overly familiar with the film (I've seen it once, and that was in about 1999). It could also do with being added to a category, but I couldn't find one suitable (after a very brief search). Thryduulf 16:53, 13 Jan 2005 (UTC)
Budget
[edit]Major contradictions within the article about the budget and revenue. The opening paragraph states that the film grossed more than double its budget at the box office in the US. The infobox says the budget is $5 million. The film grossed over $100 million in the US, which is 20 times the budget.
On the other hand, was the budget really 5 million or 50 million? The article for Patch Adams (the real one) claims that Robin Williams alone made 21 million dollars from making the movie. Certainly, 50 million seems a lot more realistic than 5 million, and would be half of the box office revenue too.Avman89 (talk) 04:40, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
Link Error
[edit]The link of the movie's editor, Don Zimmerman is an error. This link takes the viewer to a page describing an American Lacrosse coach which has no history of movie editing. --175.39.76.168 (talk) 12:45, 27 September 2010 (UTC)

Trivia[edit]

Moved here since in the current state, this does nothing for the article. The trivia list format is unacceptable, and none of the items is properly referenced. --87.78.54.227 (talk) 19:12, 30 May 2011 (UTC)
- Most of that material does seem rather useless. What about some matters where the film departs from the true story dramatically? For example Adams's real friend who was murdered was a man, not a woman. And Williams was 47 when this film was made, making it appear that Adams started medical school very late in life, when the real Adams graduated at age 26, a completely normal age for a med student.Legitimus (talk) 21:53, 5 June 2011 (UTC)
- I don't personally see what is so trivial about trivia, there are a lot of people who are interested in this kind of stuff. As for references, it's kinda obvious don't you think? If something says "In the TV series House", then they are referencing House, if it's MADtv, then it's referencing MADtv. There's an easy way to find out... watch the episode. Or does that count as original research? If so you probably should look through all the page on TV series and movies, because unless they are quoted from other sources, (which they aren't) the synopsis is going to be original material.124.170.95.114 (talk) 06:07, 17 February 2012 (UTC)
